Reycon Construction Inc. was founded in 1976 by Augie Reyes Sr., Robert Reyes, and Paul Reyes. The company is based in Santa Paula, California. Augie and Paul were inspired by their father Pablo Reyes, who was a multi-skilled craftsman. Their goal of establishing a future for their family has been a core value of the company since its inception. Initially starting as a small general contracting firm, the company would eventually enter other markets and make a name for itself outside of Ventura County.

Reycon began with local jobs involving residential alterations and additions, then evolved into the construction of custom homes and small commercial buildings. Augie and Robert both worked as field superintendents and estimators. Paul, a late arrival to the company, had worked as a construction contracts administrator for 12 years with the Department of Transportation and the Office of the State Architect. Eventually, each partner was able to concentrate on those areas best suited to their experience and knowledge, Augie in masonry, Robert in carpentry, and Paul as a construction administrator.

The company was incorporated in 1979, followed by the creation of Reyes Masonry Contractors Inc. in 1981. Reyes Masonry Contractors Inc. was created to take on all types of masonry and sound wall projects, while Reycon contracted projects involving concrete and wood framing. The demands of a growing business required that their personnel, both in the field and in the office, grow accordingly. This growth has also required increases in working capital and equipment.

This growth in operations has also allowed them to bid on projects from San Diego to San Francisco, including the Central Valley. They have constructed over 400 miles of sound walls in California.

Currently, the sons of Augie Reyes Sr. and Paul Reyes, Augie Jr. and Jonathan, are responsible for the operation of Reycon Construction and will eventually absorb Reyes Masonry Contractors Inc. in 2024. Augie Jr. (Journey Carpenter) and Jonathan (Cal Poly graduate in Construction Management) have a combined total of over 40 years of experience working with the Reyes/Reycon companies. Their intent is to follow the guidelines established by their predecessors and maintain Reycon Construction Inc.’s presence as the premier choice for all your masonry needs in Southern California.
